Negativity has a life of it's own and wants to persist. 'Defenses' don't quit easily. With frequent guided Mindfulness sitting practice balanced with personal Insight Therapy-- you will keep Softening the Grip-- you will keep Opening the Big 'Clench' in your Fist --in your Innocent Body of Stress.. But NO expectations--please. Negative Repetitions: revolving Karma-patterns of just feeling bad-- sure, they'll continue to be here for awhile. Just show up, don't try to 'achieve' --and be patient.
Sweetening the "Letting Go" process itself-- and your stuff just obsoletes itself-- and drops, it wants to drop, good --and you keep allowing it to drop away.

"All The Time Awareness" strengthened through more frequent meditation - can bring you the basic experience of an 'Emptiness-based view' of 'Whatever the Ever Present Moment offers' -- which is paradoxically getting to be more here for you -- instead of something not here for you. The situation requires a 'Trick' -- the Tao says: "Like Attracts Like".  Your  developing, innate "Wisdom-kindness" finds it really LIKES Wisdom-kindness --and so begins to develop a whole new relationship support structure for you around "Wisdom-kindness" itself like a new best friend-- But NO expectations. Negative Repetitions: they'll always show up for you, especially to feed --until now.
'Betrayed Expectation' is partly how you got here in the first place-- maybe so disappointed, so devastated, and feeling so isolated in all this, try'in to Self-Heal your impossibly wounded heart. You will come to discover a really Big Truth living at the bottom of almost everyone's suffering-- and that truth arrives as a deep personal realization --and a sharp pointed stick as a reminder of time fleeting, when you're asking your big question: How Long does therapy take ?

Here's the thing: Working on yourself by yourself, your embedded suffering, your badly bruised Spirit, your confused denial of early damage, your almost defeated 'Essence of Being' itself. Feelings are a major influence factor: Everyone knows that. There's a whole assortment of human cultural artifact in the language, mood and tone we are using in even the most simple utterance: "How Long is IT going to take ?" -- based on "Who" you 'think' you are. You’ think’ you are your Self at least --at best.

Of course you are you - you are your own Paradigm: you are your mind-set, your identity thinking, your privilege thinking, your entitlement thinking, and your resentment thinking of even just being here

Yes, your generosity, your kindness, your appreciation thinking - your Everything. And you thought you were in control, in charge. There are so many ‘contributing factors and conditions’ called Karma. And like this is already ( sigh ) going to take even some more of My Precious Time -- and our upper income middle class values pull us around "to being served" -or- “serviced” -or- “serving” .Assuming that there’s satisfaction involved here, somewhere. Buddha points us towards looking at the fact that maybe satisfaction and desire are at the causes of suffering itself. It’s NOT about getting rid of stuff but how we ‘hold’, how we do possessing / possession, owning itself. We all still have such a poor peasant mentality. We got it ass backwards again…  "Or to really being served where -- I am the meal itself !"



I Am MEAT: Actually, I'm always the end product of being served up: Me -- Self-serving Me--- Me Serving the Famous Trio of “ Me My Self and I “ -- at 'my best' every 93 seconds, serving and pleasing, serving and pleasing, serving and pleasing - Yet, I'm the friggin Product itself-- and I’m paying for this !?! I’m paying to be a test product. I’m a ‘sample’. How could there not be resentment waiting for some dark night for some alone time to arise, so I can tell myself a numbed out ‘story’ to survive. And there's of all this constant palm device fidgety tremor energy personal status 'adjustment of walking around in this world of micro-seconds of constant never ceasing monster stressors for each one of us. This goes on inside absolutely everyone. Buddhism is not against any of this ‘having’.-- Buddhism is Not culture and Not counter culture, Buddhism is simply just watching

Certainly one session is not enough to be effective and semi-lasting except as a basic introduction for the client and counselor to simply check each other out.

AND for the client to 'confirm' for them-self - that they are hopefully doing something good by the active decision itself to seek counseling. In a preliminary session - maybe I can observe the tip of a a basic 'diagnosis'. Maybe. Maybe I can inform you in a few first sessions what we may be looking at as to how "a therapy" might develop, or maybe I could refer you somewhere that could work in a better balance with your particular needs. Maybe..... Let's just consider seeing if even a common ground of open communication exists – and might grow between you and me, your counselor.
